Beautifully hand-crafted oyster plate featuring six real oyster shell "wells" set around a blue and white floral vine patterned porcelain dinner plate, accented with a "sauce bowl" made from a vintage porcelain nut bowl with a delicate yellow flower. Quartz beach glass fills the plate bottom like melting ice, and a single real 7mm pearl adorns one of the oyster shells wells. Each hand selected 2 1/2 inch oyster shell gets ground down on the back to make it sit properly on the plate, the hinge is then touched up with black and brown paint, and finally the shell is sealed with a high gloss resin to enhance the shell's colorful nacre interior which gives it a fresh-shucked wet look. The sea glass "melting ice" has also been sealed with a high gloss resin. Oyster plate diameter - 10 1/2 inches. Hand-wash only. The result - an oyster plate so fresh looking you can almost taste the cool salty oysters! Perfect for any wedding, house warming, or seasonal gift for the oyster-obsessed friend or family member. Collectible oyster plates, circa 2025. The perfect gift for oyster aficionados everywhere! https://artonthehalfshell.etsy.com -

The Monterey cypress tree is one of several species of cypress trees native to California. The trees can be found naturally only on the Central Coast of California, but range as far south as Santa Barbara and north to Mendocino. Julie's matted giclée print reproductions are printed on high-quality Epson matte presentation paper. The double mat is black with a white core over off-white matting on the inner mat. Print sizes: 5x7 inch print with double mat (will fit in a standard 8x10 frame) 8x10 inch print with double mat (will fit in a standard 11 x 14 frame) 11 x 14 inch print with double mat (will fit in a standard 16 x 20 frame) -
Now available as a giclee print, Julia Esdaile's watercolor "Dive into the Forest", depicts a Monterey Bay Sea Otter family framed on a kelp bed surrounded by mussels and purple sea urchins as we often see while walking the rec trail in Monterey and Pacific Grove. In her artwork, Julia often combines elements within a frame, like a secret window, into another world or universe. This print is offered in two sizes 8 x 10 in. and 11 x 14 in. It comes packaged in a clear plastic sleeve with card backing board for protection, initialed and signed. All prints are created with archival quality inks, on 100% cotton rag media, which is acid free and ph buffered for archival purposes. Please note there may also be slight variations in the colors of the print due to differences between in person and on screen coloration. This listing is for a paper print only – frame and mat not included. Because the prints are standard size, they can be easily framed with or without a mat. -
