Each space at Jabberwock Inn is uniquely its own—thoughtfully designed to reflect the character of this historic 1911 Craftsman home while embracing a sense of quiet whimsy inspired by the spirit of Jabberwocky. No two are alike, yet all share a feeling of comfort, authenticity, and understated elegance.

Here, the experience is intentionally different from the expected. Without the distractions of televisions and the pace of modern life, each room invites you to slow down, settle in, and fully enjoy the moment—whether that’s morning light filtering through the trees or an evening overlooking Monterey Bay.

Modern touches, including high-speed Wi-Fi, are seamlessly woven in, allowing you to stay connected when you choose—while still offering a rare opportunity to disconnect, recharge, and experience Monterey in a more meaningful way.

The Tumtum Tree is a quaint Craftsman styled cottage nestled amongst a grove of Monterey Cypress and a giant redwood in our backyard. Nearly surrounded by a redwood deck, the cottage boasts magnificent views of the Monterey Bay and our gardens. With separate sleeping room and living room, it can easily accommodate a family of four by using a surprisingly comfortable sofa sleeper.

Sleeps up to 4 guests comfortably including children of any age with a sofa sleeper. Crib is not provided. Additional charges apply.

Our largest room, the Borogove is the ultimate indulgence. An extraordinary king bed, cozy fireplace, sitting area and private bath with Jacuzzi for two, this spacious room offers a magnificent view of the Monterey Bay.

A cozy corner room with grand views of the bay, furnished with a queen-sized bed, lovely antique dresser. This, our smallest room, with grand views of both the Monterey Bay and our gardens. There is a private, spacious, detached (just down the hall) bath exclusive to the Tulgey Wood.

Decorated in hand rolled Bradbury & Bradbury wallpaper, this spacious first floor room has its own secret garden. Enjoy the view of the Monterey Bay from the garden. The Toves room also has a spectacularly carved King bed, private bath with Jacuzzi/shower for two and a fireplace.

Decorated in hand rolled Bradbury & Bradbury wallpaper, this spacious first floor room has its own secret garden. Enjoy the view of the Monterey Bay from the garden. The Toves room also has a spectacularly carved King bed, private bath with Jacuzzi/shower for two and a fireplace. A separate dressing room and water closet are three steps down and they open out to the private garden.

Sleeps 2 guests comfortably; a 3rd child of any age in the King bed is acceptable at parent’s discretion. Extra bed or crib is not provided. Additional charges apply.

One of our finest Bay View rooms, the Brillig is decorated with William Morris style wallpaper and has beautiful turn of the 19th century pocket doors to make up its private bath.
