Each hand selected oyster shell gets ground down on the back to make it sit properly on the glass pebble feet, the hinge is touched up with black, brown and gray paint. After applying the decoupage hummingbird art and flowers, the the shell is sealed with several layers of high gloss resin which enhances the shell's colorful nacre interior and protects the decoupage. The glass pebble feet vary in quantity and color. Some have 3 feet, some have 4 and the color can be blue, green, gold, coral or turquoise. -
