Alice in Wonderland Candles by Tina Button

Artist Tina Button’s handbuilt ceramic Alice In Wonderland candle holders with handmade lightly scented candles are exclusively made for the Jabberwock Inn.

Both size candles feature Alice wishing she was small enought to be able to walk through the door to the loveliest garden when suddenly a bottle with the words “DRINK ME” appears on the table.  The large candle is adorned with three ceramic mushrooms seeming to grow right out of the sides.  And the medium is accented with 3-D strawberries.

The large candle cylinder is 5 3/4″ tall by 3 1/2″ diameter and 5 1/2″ wide with the mushrooms.

The medium candle cylinder is 4 ” tall by  3 1/2″ in diameter and 4 1/4 wide with the strawberries.

Ceramic artist Tina Button is a local from Santa Cruz county.  Her designs feature fantastical creatures with a vintage flair, making her work the perfect match for Alice and the quirky friends and foes she encounters on her journey down the rabbit hole.

Monterey is a city on California’s rugged central coast. Its Cannery Row, one-time center of the sardine-packing industry, was immortalized by novelist John Steinbeck. Today, it’s a popular strip of gift shops, seafood restaurants and bars in converted factories. Also famous is Monterey Bay Aquarium, with thousands of marine animals and plants on display in underwater and interactive exhibits.
