Arts & Crafts revival artist Julie Leidel painted Nature's Way after a visit to Monterey 5 years ago, capturing a lone cypress tree above the rocky Pacific coastline. The Monterey cypress tree is one of several species of cypress trees native to California. The trees can be found naturally only on the Central Coast of California, but range as far south as Santa Barbara and north to Mendocino.
